Summary: Medical Examination and Life Skills Program in Ben Tre 20-21 July 2024

Nhat Tam is pleased to present a summary of the medical examination and life skills program held in Ben Tre on July 20th and 21st, 2024.

• Medical Examination: A team of 35 Nhat Tam volunteers and 14 doctors provided medical services to 125 children at Duc Quang Orphanage, 30 children at Hung Phuoc Pagoda, 60 caregivers, and 95 other Buddhists. Services included blood pressure and blood sugar checks, general internal medicine examinations, ultrasounds, and health consultations.

• Summer Camp at Hung Phuoc Pagoda: In collaboration with Hung Phuoc Pagoda, Nhat Tam supported a 2-day, 1-night summer camp for 150 children. The camp featured various fun and educational life skills activities conducted by Rong Viet Life Skills Center and La La Clowns.

• Support for Minh Tam Orphanage: We provided food, gifts and educational life skills activities conducted by Rong Viet Life Skills Center to Minh Tam Orphanage in District 12.

• Financial Report: Total donations amounted to 109,727,000 VND. Total expenses were 88,260,500 VND. The remaining funds will be used to purchase school supplies for children at Dong Cam Orphanage and contribute to the Nhat Tam-Biochem scholarship fund.
