Summary: Charitable Activities for March, April, and May 2024
Nhat Tam is pleased to present a summary of our charitable activities conducted during the months of March, April, and May 2024:
Cataract Surgery Support: We provided financial support for cataract surgeries for 100 impoverished elderly patients in Ngoc Hien District, Ca Mau Province. Additionally, we donated food directly to these patients undergoing surgery. Total cost: 31,800,000 VND.
Water Tank Donation: We donated 21 1000-liter water tanks to elderly individuals living alone in Binh Dai, Ben Tre who lack access to clean water during periods of saltwater intrusion. Total cost: 36,200,000 VND.
Food Donation to Vinh Duc Pagoda: We donated food to Vinh Duc Pagoda (An Lac Compassionate House) in Dong Nai, which is home to 33 orphaned children under the loving care of Bhikkhu Trung. Total cost: 10,000,000 VND.
Renovation and Support for a Shelter: We repaired damaged kitchens, replaced stoves, and renovated bathrooms at the Dong Cam Compassionate Shelter in Hoc Mon (run by Ms. Thuong), which provides care for 17 disabled lottery ticket sellers and 7 impoverished children. We also supported Ms. Thuong with medical expenses after she suffered a fall and required hospitalization. Total cost: 18,000,000 VND.
